Tyr
Gods - Norse Mythology
In Nordic mythology, Týr or Ziu or even "Tyrr" is the god Æsir of combat, war, sky, light, oaths and, therefore, patron of justice, predecessor of Odin. He is the bravest of all the gods in Norse mythology. At the time of the Vikings, Týr made way for Odin, who became the god of War; son of the winter sea giant Hymir, came to be considered son of Odin, due to his courage and heroism in battle, represented by a man without the right hand.
Tyr is so brave, that once he placed his hand on the jaws of the fierce wolf Fenrir, he did it while the other gods held Fenrir to a rock, when the wolf Fenrir realized he could not get rid of the chains, he was furious and pulled the right hand of Tyr.
Its symbol is the spear, in Norse mythology both a weapon and a symbol of justice. It is also identified with the Tîwaz Rune.
If the Tîwaz Rune symbol is carved in your weapon, you are dedicating it to Tyr, and this will make the outcome of the battle to be in your favor.
Tyr is associated with the Tuesday, which is named after him. He is very interested in justice and with fair treaties.
Tyr will die in Ragnarök while fighting the dog Garm "the guardian of the gates of Hel", killing Garm will be his last great moment.
