The Giants

"These were the Nephilim (sons of Anak) were the mighty, the men of renown, which were in ancient times." Genesis 6.4

"The Emins had dwelt therein, a great and numerous people, and as tall as the Anakim; they are also considered Rephaim like the Anakim; but the Moabites call them Emim. "Deuteronomy 2: 10-11

"For Og king of Bashan alone remained of the Rephaim; behold, his bed, a bed of iron, is it not in Rabbah of the Ammonites? Its length is nine cubits, and four cubits [1.78 meters] its breadth, according to the cubit in use. "Deuteronomy 3.11

"We also saw there the Nephilim, that is, the sons of Anak, who are descendants of the Nephilim; we were like grasshoppers in our eyes; and so we were in his sight. "Numbers 13.33

About 5,500 years ago, human stature was extremely high. There were men in Mesopotamia whose stature was over 4 meters tall. The first giants, called in the Bible of Nephilim (enfilins in the original Hebrew meaning "fallen" or "deserters") could be even higher.

In the late 1950s during the construction of a road in south-eastern Turkey, in Homs and Uran-Zohra in the Euphrates Valley, near where Noah lived after the flood, several tombs of giants were found. They were 4 meters long, and within two were bones of the thigh (human femur) measuring about 120 centimeters in length. It is estimated that this human had a height of approximately 4 meters and feet of 53 centimeters. A copy of the bone is being marketed by the Mt. Blanco Fossil Museum in the town of Crosbyton, Texas, USA, for $ 450.

Other gigantic groups called the Anakins and Refains (or Emins) settled in Palestine between the Dead Sea and the Gaza Strip. The Israelites killed all the giants of this region, leaving only King Og (in the northern region of present-day Jordan) and some of them that went to the Gaza Strip (region between the Mediterranean Sea and Gaza City).

"And there was a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, whose name was Goliath of Gath, six cubits and a span." 1 Samuel 17.4

Goliath is the most famous giant in history. with approximately 3 meters of height.

 

Giants of 24 fingers

"There was yet another war in Gath, where there was a man of great stature, who had twenty-four fingers, six in each hand, and six in each foot, and who was also the giant's son." 1 Chronicles 20.6

In 1876 a fossilized giant of 3.65 meters with 6 toes arrived in London on the right foot. He was unearthed by Mr. Dyer during a mining operation in County Antrim, Ireland. It was then taken to exhibition in Dublin, Liverpool and Manchester. In a December 1895 issue, British Strand Magazine published a photo of the fossil taken at the Broad Street warehouse of the North-Western Railway Company and later reprinted in WG's Traces of the Elder Faiths of Ireland Wood-Martin (below).

 

Giants and Footprints

A giant's footprints were found. Comparing sizes, it is estimated that the height of the human was little above 4 meters.

Samuel Hubbard, Archaeological Honorary Curator of the Oakland Museum, discovered two petrified bodies being one of 4.6 and one of 5.5 meters in the Grand Canyon of Arizona. Near the site was found a large number of footprints from 43 to 50 centimeters in length (The Hubbard Discovery, September 1923).

In July 1877, in the Spring Valley region near Eureka, Nevada, a knee and a human leg bone were found measuring 99 centimeters, equivalent to a person's height of about 3.5 meters. The bones were quite charred because of their age (Strange Relics from the Depths of the Earth, J. R. Jochmans, 1979).
