Excalibur or Caliburn is the legendary sword of King Arthur in the stories of the Arturian Cycle of Matter of Britain, to which magical powers are sometimes attributed or associated with the legitimate sovereignty of Great Britain. The sword was associated with the Arturian legend very early on. In Welsh, the sword is called Caledfwlch; in the dialect of Cornwall, the sword is called Calesvol; In Breton, Kaledvoulc'h; And in Latin, Caliburnus.
Legends about King Arthur include two different swords.
